Kelvin Converter

Convert Kelvin to other temperature scales

Temperature Conversion
What is This Tool?

Temperature converters translate between Celsius, Fahrenheit, Kelvin, and Rankine scales. Each scale has different zero points and degree sizes, used in different contexts -- Celsius for everyday use worldwide, Fahrenheit in the US, Kelvin in science, and Rankine in some engineering applications.

Formula
C to F: F = C x 9/5 + 32 F to C: C = (F - 32) x 5/9 C to K: K = C + 273.15 K to R: R = K x 9/5
Worked Examples

1. Celsius to Fahrenheit

Given: 100 C (boiling water)

F = 100 x 9/5 + 32

F = 180 + 32 = 212

Result: 212 F

2. Fahrenheit to Celsius

Given: 72 F (room temperature)

C = (72 - 32) x 5/9

C = 40 x 5/9 = 22.22

Result: 22.22 C

3. Celsius to Kelvin

Given: 0 C (freezing water)

K = 0 + 273.15 = 273.15

Result: 273.15 K
